People in and around Kathmandu valley have experienced a sudden drop in temperature in the last few days
Meteorologists have said weather pattern has changed in hilly and Tarai areas across the country with the development of low pressure system in the high atmosphere
Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal said though the weather has changed drastically in the hilly area, only a few places will witness rainfalls due to lack of moisture-laden wind. He said the weather change will remain the same for two more days.

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The death toll reaches 31 in the incident of Dhading bus plunge in Trishuli river yesterday. 9 women, 11 men, 6 boys and 5 girls have died in the fatal incident. Among the dead, identity of only 24 have been ascertained so far. It is reported that out of 31 deceased 20 persons alone are from Saptari district, 3 from Siraha district and 1 person is an Indian national.</span><br></p><p>The accident happened when the bus en &nbsp;route to Kathmandu from Rajbiraj veered off the &nbsp;road and fell in the Trishuli river at Bangemodha Ward-2 of Gajuri rural municipality in the district. Fifteen people have also been injured in incident, two of them critically. According to the district police office, Dhading, &nbsp;identities of 24 out of 30 deceased have been ascertained.&nbsp;</p><p>President Vidhya devi Bhandari, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have extended deep sorrow over the death of the people in Dhading bus accident .&nbsp;</p><p>The Prime Minister has instructed the local administration, Nepal Police, Nepal Army and the Armed Police Force to intensify the search for those went missing in the incident.&nbsp;</p><p>Similarly, CPN-UML and the Maoist Centre have expressed deep grief over the bus plunge which claimed the lives of 31 persons yesterday. Issuing a condolence note, both the Chairmen of the UML and the Maoist Centre paid tribute to the departed souls and extended condolences to the bereaved families.</p><p><br></p><p>Meanwhile, all local levels in Saptari district are to remain closed today to mourn the demise of 31 people, most of them from the district, in the bus plunge into the Trishuli River in Dhading.</p><p>All the local levels in the district are mourning the losses of many lives in the fatal accident, according to Rajbiraj Municipality mayor Shambhu Yadav. It's reported that 5 persons of a single family Sanjit Kumar Jha from Tilathi Saptari, including Jha himself, were killed in a tragic bus accident.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;Meanwhile, The government has formed a three-member committee under the coordination of Home Ministry's joint secretary Man Bahadur BK to carry out investigations into the accident of bus plunge. The Ministry of Home Affairs &nbsp;also directed the police and local authorities to strictly implement the close monitoring of public vehicles to make the transport system secure and reliable. &nbsp;</p>

The two major parties in the Leftist Alliance – the CPN (UML) and the CPN (Maoist Centre) – have prepared the House of Representatives and the State Assembly Election Manifesto, 2017.
The main slogan of the election manifesto is – "Transformation and Achievement under the Communists' Leadership: Social Justice and Prosperity also under Communists' Leadership."
The two parties have stated that the manifesto will be made public after the registration of the candidacies for the second phase elections. They have also stated that they will take the leadership of the economic prosperity of the country and even steer the implementation of the socialism enshrined in the constitution.
The manifesto states that the Leftist Alliance alone is the true vanguard of democracy. The manifesto has set the aim of proper management of the agriculture, tourism, hydropower, herbs and human resources, the basis for economic prosperity.
The UML and the Maoist hailed the economic programmes their governments brought to prop up national economy and change people's lives. Social security is prominently raised in the manifesto.
As per the constitutional mandate, keeping in center the national interests, the relations with neighbours will be maintained on the basis UN Charter, panchasheel principles, mutual trust, equality and benefit, said the alliance.

Nepali Congress held yesterday a meeting of its parliamentary committee to ascertain the candidates for round two of the upcoming elections.
At the meeting held at PM's official residence Baluwatar, Nepali Congress leaders discussed the final list of the candidates for the central and provincial elections.
Meanwhile, Senior leaders of ruling Nepali Congress said that the recently forged alliance of leftist parties is against the rule of law, democracy, Nepali Congress, and even the country.
Speaking at a programme organized by the Nepali Congress Kaski district committee yesterday, NC leaders argued that the alliance has been formed to impose communist dictatorship in the country.
Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba addressing the programme, urged all democratic forces for unity to overcome challenges facing democracy.
PM Deuba added that the upcoming elections are being looked as a battle between two ideologies, one protecting democracy and development while the other advocating totalitarianism.
Speaking in the programme, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel reiterated PM Deuba's statement saying that the leftist alliance is against the NC, country and the democracy.
NC general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala said that leftist force will be left without agenda if nation achieves prosperity.
