<p>८ असार, काठमाडौं ।<br><br>व्यवस्थापिका–संसदको आजको बैठकले तीनवटा विधेयकलाई दफावार छलफलका लागि सम्बन्धित समितिमा पठाइयोस् भन्ने प्रस्तावलाई सर्वसम्मतिले स्वीकृत गर्यो । <br><br>ती विधेयकहरुमा केही नेपाल कानुनलाई संशोधन, एकीकरण, समायोजन र खारेज गर्ने विधेयक २०७१, सर्वाेच्च अदालत (पहिलो संशोधन) विधेयक, २०७३ र न्याय सेवा आयोग विधेयक, २०७३ रहेका छन् । <br><br>न्याय तथा संसदीय मामिलामन्त्री अग्निप्रसाद खरेलले सदनसमक्ष तीनवटा विधेयक प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको थियो । <br><br><br><br></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857143;">काठमाडौं,असार ८ । अफगानिस्तानको काबुलमा भएको आत्मघाती आक्रमणमा परी गम्भीर घाइते भएका च्याङ्बा तामाङको पनि ज्यान गएको छ । नुवाकोटका च्याङ्वा तामाङ्को स्थानीय वेष्ट-एक्स मेडिकलमा उपचाररत अवस्थामै बुधबार अपरान्ह मृत्यु भएको छ । </span><span style="line-height: 1.42857143;">अर्का सख्त घाइते चितवनका मानबहादुर थापालाई बुधबार राति एयर एम्बुलेन्समार्फत नयाँ दिल्ली लगिएको छ । एक जनाको भने काबुलमा नै उपचार भइरहेको छ । यस्तै आक्रमणमा ज्यान गएका १२ जनाको शव बुधबार काठमाडौं ल्याएर परिवारको जिम्मा लगाइएको छ । </span></p>
<p>८ असार, काठमाडौं ।<br>व्यवस्थापिका संसदको संसदीय सुनुवाई विशेष समितिको सभापतिमा प्रमुख प्रतिपक्षी दल नेपाली कांग्रेसका नेता एवं सांसद कुलबहादुर गुरुङ निर्विरोध निर्वाचित हुनु भएको छ ।<br><br>सभापति पदका लागि अर्को कुनै उम्मेदवारी नपरेपछि गुरुङ निर्विरोध निर्वाचित हुनु भएको हो । <br><br>निर्विरोध निवाचित भए लगत्तै सभामुख ओनसरी घर्तीबाट नेता गुरुङले संसदीय सुनुवाई विशेष समितिको सभापति पदको सपथ ग्रहण गर्नुभयो । <br><br>सपथ ग्रहणपछि सञ्चारकर्मीहरुसँग कुरा गर्दै सुनुवाई समितिका नवनिर्वाचित सभापति गुरुङले विभिन्न निकायमा नियुक्तिका लागि सुनुवाई गर्नु पर्ने व्यक्तिको नाम समितिमा आए लगत्तै सुनुवाईको प्रक्रिया शुरु हुने बताउनु भयो ।<br><br>सत्तारुढ दल र प्रमुख प्रतिपक्षीबीचको फरक फरक अडानका कारण विगत सात महिना बढी समय सुनुवाई समिति गठन हुन नसक्दा प्रधानन्यायाधीशदेखि सर्वोच्च अदालतका अन्य प्रस्तावित न्ययाधीशहरु र सरकारले विभिन्न देशका लागि नियुक्तीको प्रस्ताव गरेका राजदूतहरुको सुनुवाई हुन सकेको छैन ।<br><br></p>
<p>८ असार, काठमाडौं ।<br>प्रधानमन्त्री के.पी शर्मा ओलीले पुर्खाहरुले जगेर्ना गरेको संस्कृति राष्ट्रिय एकता एबं अखण्डतालाई अक्षुण राख्दै सामाजिक असमान्ता अन्त्य गर्न आवश्यक रहेको बताउनु भएको छ । <br><br>आदिबासी जनजाति उत्थान राष्ट्रिय प्रतिष्ठान संचालक परिषद्को १५ औ बैठकलाई आज ललितपुरमा उद्घाटन गर्दे प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले मुलुकको बिबिधता लाई द्धन्दको बिषय नबनाई एकले अर्काको संस्कृतिको सम्मान गर्नुपर्ने बताउनु भयो । <br><br>उहांले गरिबी र पछौटे पन हटाई समृद्र्धिको खोजी गर्न आग्रह गर्नु भयो । <br><br>प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले संबिधान प्राप्ती पछि मुलुक नयां चरणमा प्रबेश गरको र संबिधानले सबै जाती बर्ग र समुदायको अधिकार सुनिश्चित गरी सकेको बताउनु भयो । <br><br>तोडफोड, आगजनी र ध्बंश गर्ने काम लोकतन्त्रमा स्विकार्य नहुने भन्दै प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले आप्mनो र पार्टीको निजी स्वार्थ त्यागी मुलुकको समृद्र्धी र बिकास निर्माणमा समाहित हुन असन्तुष्ट पक्षलाई आग्रह गर्नु भयो । <br><br>उहांले मधेशका जनतालाई केहि व्यक्तिले गुमराहमा राख्ने काम गरी रहेको भन्दै तराई मधेश पहाड र हिमाल लाई छुट्टाएर नेपालको कल्पनै गर्न नसकिने बताउनु भयो । <br><br><br><br></p>
The bodies were handed over to their kin after

Koirala said. Koirala added that the government has arranged for
transporting the bodies to the home district of the deceased.<br><p><br>The government chartered the Nepal Airlines Corporation
(NAC) aircraft to bring home 12 dead bodies including 24 other Nepali
migrant workers. Among the injured five were taken to New Delhi in India
for treatment while other two are receiving treatment in Kabul. The NAC
plane landed at 2: 40 pm as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime
Minister Kamal Thapa and Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet arrived at
the airport. <br><br>The mortal
remains of 12 Nepali nationals killed in the suicide terrorist attack
on Monday in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, were brought to Nepal
today. <br><b><br></b></p><p><b>IRLC DIRECTS GOVT TO COMPENSATE KIN OF THOSE NEPALIS KILLED IN KABUL SUICIDE BOMBING <br></b><br>The International Relations and Labour Committee (IRLC) of the Legislature Parliament today directed the government to provide appropriate compensation to the kins of those killed in Kabul suicide bombing and provide treatment for the injured. <br><br>The committee's meeting today also paid tributes to those killed in the attack, wished for speedy recovery and good health of those injured and extended condolence to the bereaved families. The meeting also condemned the attack terming it a terrorist act. <br><br>Twelve Nepali migrants were killed and seven injured when a suicide bomber hit a minibus in Kabul in Afghanistan on June 20 carrying Nepali security guards who worked for the Canadian embassy. One of the injured is reported to be in serious condition.<br><br>The meeting also thanked the government for promptly sending a Nepali aircraft to Kabul to bring back the bodies of those killed but directed it to bring facts of the incident to light. <br><br>The meeting directed the government to arrange and help those Nepalis in war-torn countries including Afghanistan return back home if they wish so. <br><br>Cautioning that such incidents should not repeat, the meeting directed the government and Ministry of Labour and Employment to strictly implement the provision barring Nepalis leaving for foreign employment without labour permit and taking action against those manpower agencies and agents sending them for foreign employment without labour permit. <br><br>The meeting also directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Labour Ministry to initiate effective diplomatic relations with respective countries including India serving an illegal way for Nepalis heading to foreign countries for job in order to curb such illegal passage. <br><br>They also demanded that the families of the Nepalis killed in the attack be compensated and their children be provided with schooling free of cost. <br><br><br><b>KILLING OF INNOCENT NEPALIS COWARDLY AND INHUMAN: PM OLI<br></b><br>Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the murder of innocent Nepalis who had gone to Afghanistan in course of employment is 'cowardly and inhumane'. <br><br>Paying tributes to the 12 Nepalis who died in the suicide attack in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on Monday after their bodies were brought by plane at Tribhuvan International Airport today, the Prime Minister denounced the act of killing the Nepalis who were innocent and unrelated but working only with service motive in Afghanistan. <br><br>The government chartered a Nepal Airlines Corporation plane and brought home the mortal remains of the Nepalis killed in the attack. PM Oli also wished speedy recovery to all those injured in the attack. He said the bodies would be handed over to the families of the deceased and that arrangements have been made for taking the bodies to the places concerned. <br><br>Stating how the bereaved families could be helped would be decided after holding discussions on the same once the rescue work is over, PM Oli said, "The government has done its bit as per the priority and we are mulling about the kind of assistance to be provided to the affected families after holding discussions regarding further work." Twenty-four Nepalis who wanted to voluntarily return home after quitting their jobs in Afghanistan also came on the same flight.<br><br></p>
<p>Newly-elected Chairperson of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee Kul Bahadur Gurung has said the stalled parliamentary hearings for endorsing major appointments including that of justices would make a headway. <br><p><br>The PHSC meeting today unanimously elected lawmaker from main opposition party, Nepali Congress, as the chairperson of the Committee. In absence of the formation of the PHSC, the parliamentary hearing for endorsing the appointments of the Supreme Court justices, ambassadors for different countries and commissioners for National Election Commission have not been conducted though the recommendations for the same were already made. Earlier too, leader Gurung was the chair of the Committee. <br><br>Taking oath of office and secrecy from Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar, Chairperson Gurung said, "I hope the recommendations provided by the government for different appointments are with the Speaker. Once the committee receives a notice, it would make public the timeline for lodging complaint against the nominees." <br><br>It was difficult to have the quorum met in the erstwhile 75-member hearing committee, he recounted his experience, adding that the 15-member is small and functional. <br><br>At the meeting of the Committee today, Ganeshman Gurung of the CPN-UML tabled a proposal to elect Gurung as the PHSC Chairperson while NC Chief Whip Chinkaji Shrestha seconded it. <br><br></p></p>
<p>CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal today called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar.<br><br>The meeting focused on current political issues and the implementation of the constitution, he shared.</p><p>Earlier today, Chairman Dahal had met with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba at latter's residency in Budhanilakantha.</p><p>The leaders are said to have dwelt on current political issues.<br><br></p>
<p>Discussions over various subjects related to seven different ministries under the Appropriation Bill were held at the Legislature-Parliament session today. <br><br>The subjects under deliberations are in connection with the Ministry of Information and Communications, Health, Land Reform and Management, Agriculture, Industry, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Youth and Sports Ministry. <br><br>Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party (NWPP) presented a proposal at the session for slashing the expenditure of the related ministries under various topics. <br><br>On the occasion, Nepali Congress lawmaker, Dr Minendra Rijal, demanded immediate annulment of the Online Media Operation Directive 2073 with accusation that government had introduced it by infringing upon Good Governance Act. He further warned that the Directive curtailed rights enshrined in the new constitution. <br><br>CPN (UML) lawmaker, Keshav Badal, said the budget focused on industrial development and spoke of the need to modernize agricultural sector. <br><br>CPN (Maoist) Centre's Hit Raj Pandey pressed for building sports venue in every villages, small-scale industrialization as per the production capability of the villages and attracting youths to agriculture. <br><br></p>
<p>Chairman of the CPN Maoist Centre, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has cancelled his Australia visit in the eleventh hour due to his busy schedule. Dahal was scheduled to leave for Australia today itself. <br><br>Chairman Dahal was scheduled to inaugurate a convention of the People's progressive Forum, Australia. But he cancelled his trip as he has to be busy in party's activities and national issues. According to the Dahal's Secretariat, Chairman Dahal cancelled his Australia visit as budget presented in the House should be passed as well as he has to be busy with party's activities.<br><br>However, members of Foreign Department of CPN Maoist Centre would attend the convention of the People's Progressive Forum. <br><br>Meanwhile, this afternoon, Chairman Dahal held a meeting with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and discussed contemporary issues. <br><br><br></p>
<p>Today's Legislature-Parliament meeting unanimously approved the proposal seeking clause-wise discussion on three different bills and to be sent to the concerned committee for the same. <br><br>The bills to be sent for clause-wise discussion are–the 'Bill designed to amend, integrate, adjust and revoke some Nepal acts-2071 BS', 'Bill on Supreme Court (First Amendment)-2073 BS' and 'Bill on Judicial Service-2073 BS'. <br><br>The proposal was tabled by Minister for Justice and Parliament Affairs Agni Prasad Kharel.<br><br></p>
<p>Agitating Terai Madhesh parties have boycotted today's meeting of Legislature-Parliament.<br><br>Lawmaker Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary has said that the government was not serious towards the demands put forth by ongoing agitation in Tarai-Madhes. <br><br>Seeking time from Speaker Onsari Gharti in today's meeting of the Legislature-Parliament, Chaudhary demanded amendment of the new constitution, saying the new constitution has failed to ensure rights to women. <br><br>Objecting the government's act of arresting Madhesi people and Tharus charging false case, Chaudhary exited from the meeting saying the Tarai-Madhes parties have boycotted today's meeting. <br><br>Meanwhile, in today's zero hour of the parliament, lawmakers expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in Kabul terrorist attack and drew the attention of the government to make necessary arrangement to send the bodies to their respective homes. <br><br>They also suggested the government to take initiative for other facilities including insurance to the deceased's family and also demanded that distribution of cash to quake survivors for house construction be accelerated.<br><br></p>
