<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Rastriya Janamorcha Party Chair Chitra Bahadur KC has hinted the possibility of an electoral alliance with the democratic forces. </span><br></p><p><br></p><p>Speaking at a programme organised by the Reporters' Club today, leader KC, hinting the agreement among three political parties, said there is </p><p> no possibility of unification among these three political parties in the days ahead as proclaimed by them. </p><p><br></p><p>Also speaking at the programme, CPN (ML) General Secretary CP Mainali said Electoral alliance announced among the UML, CPN (MC) and the Nayashakti is the beginning of positive step.</p><p> </p><p>Similarly, Vice Chair of CPN -Revolutionary Maoist, CP Gajurel, said efforts undertaken for leftist unity were wrong. Likewise, CPN (MC) leader Dinanath Sharma claimed that the election alliance forged among the UML, CPN (MC) and the Nayashakti will cause no impact on the incumbent coalition government. </p>
ANFA announces squad for fourth AFC Asian cup qualification match
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced the national squad to play the fourth match under the AFC Asian Cup qualification against Tajikistan. </span><br></p><p><br></p><p>Nepali football team's main coach Gyotoku Koji announced the names of players in the team today for the match to be held in Tajikistan on coming October 10.</p><p><br></p><p>Nepal faced a 2-1 defeat at home ground with Tajikistan in the third match held on September 5.</p><p>It had also lost the first match with Philippines held in Manila and played the second match draw with the Yemeni team. The second match was organised in Kathmandu.</p>
Fresh alliance positive, but not leftist alliance: CPN (Masal)
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The Communist Party of Nepal (Masal) has termed the announcements of an electoral alliance among the CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Center) and the Naya Shakti Nepal, and the possible merger ahead a positive move. </span><br></p><p><br></p><p>In a press statement today, the party said the three political parties do have no unlikeness principally and politically, and in terms of political character as well, and it was better for them all to stay integrated instead of separated. However, it states this alliance cannot be the leftist alliance.</p>
NC steps up efforts to form broad democratic alliance
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The Nepali Congress (NC) has intensified efforts to form a broad democratic alliance. </span><br></p><p><br></p><p>The NC's move follows the announcement of the formation of an alliance among the main leftist forces–main opposition CPN-UML, ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) and Naya Shakti Nepal–yesterday. </p><p><br></p><p>Talks were held in the meeting of the NC central working execution committee at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's official residence in Baluwatar, said NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi. PM and NC President Dueba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, and members of the committee were present in the meeting.</p><p><br></p><p>NC has begun the discussion to form democratic alliance after major two leftist parties UML and Maoist-Centre together with Naya Shakti party agreed to form electoral alliance and go for party unification among the leftist parties.</p><p><br></p><p>It is reported that the meeting will continue tomorrow as well.</p>
Environment Minister off to Ethiopia to attend meeting of LDC group
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Minister for Population and Environment Mithila Chaudhary has left for Ethiopia to attend a meeting of environment ministers of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Group affected by climate change to take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. </span><br></p><p> The meeting will prepare a common agenda of the LDC Group for the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference, the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the UN Convention on Climate Change, scheduled for upcoming November in Bonn, Germany. </p><p> The two-day meeting in Addis Ababa would touch on the issues relating to problems facing the LDCs due to climate change, climate justice and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), said the Minister before leaving for the northeastern African country.</p>
Injured in Kagbeni road accident airlifted to Kathmandu
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Those injured in the Kagbeni road accident last evening have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment this morning, police said. </span><br></p><p><br></p><p>Three persons were killed, and 20 others injured when a bus carrying pilgrims met with an accident at Kagbeni.</p><p>Nepal Army's helicopter was used to ferry the injured, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Hari Pandey. All the injured is reported to be out of life threatening situation. </p>
