<p>A delegation led by Former PM and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has called on PM Dahal in Singha Durbar today.</p><p>During the meeting, UML leader Oli submitted a memorandum to PM Dahal and asked him to make national welfare first priority of his visit. <br><br>The delegation included UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal, leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Vice Chairmen Bam Dev Gautam and Bhim Rawal and general secretary Ishwor Pokharel. </p><p>The memorandum suggests the PM to sign any agreement with India centering national interest while keeping intact Nepal's independency, sovereignty, geographical integrity and self-dignity.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>In return, PM Dahal said suggestions and advices from concerned quarters would be of a great help for his visit and that he would abstain from signing any agreement with India that affects national independence and integrity, PM's press advisor Gobinda Acharya quoted Dahal as saying. <br><br>Dahal also said he would hold a broad consultation with former PMs and his party the CPN (Maoist Centre) two days before his departure to India, Acharya said. <br><br></p>

<p>President of Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe has said that there was increasing danger that the country could fall into the hands of foreigners as a result of the political self-interests of the big political parties.</p><p>Speaking at a function in Bhaktapur today, he said crisis is increasing in the country as the bigger parties have failed to give up their political interests.</p><p>Handing over every development construction project to India will gradually push the country into the grip of the southern neighbor, Bijukchhe said while alerting the government against signing any agreements that would invite danger to Nepal. <br><br></p>

<p>The meeting today of the Legislature-Parliament has passed three bills – Bill on Judicial Service Commission-2073, Bill on Judicial Council-2073 and Bill on Judicial Administration-2073. &nbsp;<br><br>The bills, tabled by Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Shankar Nayak, were approved with majority. <br><br>The endorsement of the Bills has paved the way for the government to form high courts as provisioned in the constitution to form it within one year after the introduction of the constitution. <br><br>Sixteenth appellate courts will be transformed into seven high courts once the new provision comes into practice.<br><br></p>

<p>Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he has taken his upcoming visit to India as a challenging opportunity.<br><br>Informing the parliamentary international relations and labour committee today about his four-day India visit starting September 15, Prime Minister Dahal expressed the confidence that the visit would add a new chapter to the bilateral relations between the two countries.<br><br>The Prime Minister made it clear before the committee that he would not be signing any new agreements but reviewing and implementing the old agreements. <br>Additional support for post-quake reconstruction, purchase trade agreement related to hydropower, the postal highway will be the matters to be discussed during the visit.<br><br>He also expressed the commitment to consider the recommendations of the MPs and work in the interest of the nation.<br><br>Sharing that the deliberations in regards to amendment to the new constitution to address the demands of the dissenting groups are near to a positive conclusion, Prime Minister Dahal disclosed that an all-party meeting has also been called for coming Tuesday to discuss his India visit.<br><br>Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to leave for India on September 15 and will return home on September 18.<br><br>PM Dahal briefed the Committee members that he was scheduled to meet Nepalis in India, attend a reception at Nepali Embassy in India and hold an interaction with foreign dignitaries on September 15. <br><br>There will be official meeting in the second day while PM Dahal will visit a hydropower project in Himanchal state and will hold interaction with intellectuals soon after returning New Delhi from Himanchal. &nbsp;<br><br>Similarly, PM Dahal is scheduled to visit the factory of Patanjali Yogpeeth run by Baba Ramdev on September 18 and will return home the same day. <br><br>On the occasion, Lawmakers suggested PM Dahal to raise issues like controlling criminal activities in the bordering areas, address problems meted out by Border Security Force of India to Nepalis during their movement around border points, controlling the smuggling of Nepali migrant workers to third countries via India, among others during his India visit.<br><br></p>

<p>A magnitude 5.7 earthquake has killed at least 13 people and injured 203 in northern Tanzania, the authorities say.</p><p>The quake struck close to the border with Uganda and Rwanda near Lake Victoria.</p><p>Images posted on social media showed significant damage to buildings in Bukoba, a city of more than 70,000 people where most casualties were reported.</p><p>Tremors were felt as far away as western Kenya.<br></p>

<p>Turkey has a duty to defeat the so-called Islamic State (IS) in neighbouring Syria, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.</p><p>He called it a "binding duty", to ensure the militants were "unable to carry out actions inside our country".</p><p>Turkey's military said its warplanes killed 20 IS fighters during air raids over Syria yesterday.</p><p>A 10-day truce is due to start in Syria on Monday, followed by co-ordinated air strikes against jihadist militants.<br><br><br><br><br></p>

<p>South Korea has a plan to annihilate the North Korean capital if it shows any signs of mounting a nuclear attack, according to reports from Seoul.</p><p>A military source told the Yonhap news agency every part of Pyongyang "will be completely destroyed by ballistic missiles and high-explosives shells".</p><p>Yonhap has close ties to South Korea's government and is publicly funded.</p><p>On Friday North Korea carried out what it said was its fifth, and largest, nuclear test.</p><p>The international community is considering its response.<br></p>
