काठमाडौँ । नेकपा (एमाले)का सचिव प्रदीप ज्ञवालीले एमाले र नेकपा (माओवादी केन्द्र) दुई शक्ति मिलेर नयाँ पार्टी बन्ने बताउनुभएको छ ।
आज रिपोर्टर्स क्लबमा आयोजित कार्यक्रममा उहाँले वाम एकता जनताबाट अनुमोदन भएकाले अब कसैले रोक्न नसक्ने र चाँडै नै एकता हुने बताउनुभयो ।
एमाले सचिव ज्ञवालीले एमाले अध्यक्ष केपी शर्मा ओली र (माओवादी केन्द्र)का अध्यक्ष पुष्पकमल दाहालको मात्र पार्टी एकता गर्नेे विषय नभएर आम जनताको विषय रहेको प्रष्ट पार्नुभयो ।
उहाँले प्रधानमन्त्री शेरबहादुर देउवा र मन्त्रीको अभिव्यक्ति सत्ता लम्ब्याउने खालका भएको भन्दै जनमतको कदर गरी सरकारले तुरुन्तै सत्ता छाड्नुपर्ने बताउनुभयो ।

नेपाल जेसिसको ४४औं राष्ट्रिय महाधिवेशनलाई आज भैरहवामा सम्बोधन गर्दै पुर्व प्रधानमन्त्री दाहालले राष्ट्रिय मुद्दामा सत्तापक्ष र प्रतिपक्षका बीचमा समझदारी कायम गर्दै अघि बढ्नुपर्ने बताउनुभयो ।
पुर्व प्रधानमन्त्री दाहालले मुलुकलाई आर्थिक समृद्धिको बाटोमा अगाडि बढाउन सबै दलबीच सहमति, सहकार्य र समन्वय हुनुपर्नेमा जोड दिनुभयो ।
३ तहको निर्वाचनपछि मुलुक आर्थिक समृद्धि र विकासको बाटोमा अगाडि बढेको उल्लेख गर्दै अध्यक्ष प्रचण्डले राजनीतिक दल र नेताका लागि अब परीक्षाको घडी सुरु भएको बताउनुभयो ।
<p>कालिकोट ।</p><p>कालिकोट जिल्लामा गत मंसिर १० को संघ तथा प्रदेससभा निर्वाचनका लगाी भर्ना गरिएका म्यादी प्रहरी र जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बिच भएको बिवादलाई लिएर सुक्रबार भएको घटनामा एक जना म्यादी प्रहरीको प्रहरीकै गोलि लागेर ज्यान गए पछि भएको बिवादलाई लिएर स्थितीतनावग्रस्त भए पछि शान्ति सुरक्षा कायम गर्न कालिकोट प्रसासनले दिउसो ४ बजे देखि अर्को आदेस नभएसम्म कफर््यु आदेस जारि गरेको छ ।</p><p>ज्यान गुमाएका कालिकोट जिल्ला शान्नी तिर्बेणी गाउँपालिका तिकुवा निवासि हरि ऐडिका छोरा २१ का बिबेक ऐडिका आफन्त राजनितिक दल जन प्रतिनिधि र क्षेत्रिय प्रसाशक सुरेस प्रधान र डिआईजि सुरेस बिक्रम शाह सहीत मध्यपश्चिम अनुसन्धान प्रहरकिा डिआइृजि टेकेन्द्र कार्की लगाएतको सहभागितामा दिनभर छलफल भए पनि आन्दोलनकारीले दिउसो जिल्ला प्रसासनकार्यलयमै ढुंगामुडा गरे पछि प्रहरीले सिीथती नियन्त्रण गर्न कफर््यु जारि गरेको हो ।</p><p>क्षेत्रि<span style="line-height: 18.5714px;">य</span><span style="line-height: 1.42857;"> प्रसासक प्रधानको पहलमा भएको छलफलमा दोसिलाई कार्वाही मृर्तकलाई सहीद घोषणा, र उचितत क्षेतिपुर्ति को मागसरकार संग गर्ने निर्णयगरेको छ । बैठकमा सहभागि मृतकका आफन्तले निर्णय कार्यन्वयन नभए सम्म सब भने नबुझ्ने भने पछि सब प्रसासनमै रहेको छ ।</span></p><p>म्यादीको प्रहरी गोलि लागेर ज्यान गए पछि उत्तेजित स्थानियले कालिकोट जिल्ला सदरमुकामा रहेका प्रहरी बिड, ससस्त्रप्रहरी गण मासमेत आगजनी गरेका हुन जिल्लामा तनावग्रस्त भए पछि प्रहरीले आफ्नो प्रहरी युनियट सबैजिल्ला प्रहरीमा केन्द्रितगरेका बेला खालि रहेका सबै प्हरी संरचना ध्यवस्तगरिएका छन ।</p><p>दिउसो आन्दोलन कारि र प्रहरी बिच कर्फयुकै बिचमा भएको झडमा प्रहरी जवान बिरेन्दै थाप घायते भएका छन भने दर्जनौ आन्दोलन कारिपनि घाईते भएकाछन ।

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ on Friday announced that Henrietta H. Fore will succeed Anthony Lake as UNICEF Executive Director when his term ends on 31 December 2017.
Ms. Fore has nearly four decades of public sector service culminating as the first woman to serve as Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Director of United States Foreign Assistance in the U.S. Department of State (2007 to 2009). Earlier in her career, at USAID, she was appointed as Assistant Administrator for Asia and Assistant Administrator for Private Enterprise (1989 to 1993), the UNICEF stated in a press release.
Nepal and Liechtenstein have set up diplomatic relations.
The number of countries Nepal has diplomatic ties with has now reached 155 which comprises over 80 per cent of the United Nations member states including all original signatories of the UN Charter.
Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the UN, and Ambassador Christian Wenaweser, Permanent Representative of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the UN, signed a joint paper to this effect amid a function organised today in New York. UN Secretary-General António Guterres was informed about the matter later.
During the meeting held at the Permanent Mission of Nepal, the two diplomats shared their confidence that the diplomatic ties would help develop and further strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in the UN framework and beyond.
Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal Mashfee Bainte Shams has said that regional cooperation and economic connectivity, as well as enhancement of mutual cooperation is the need of the hour.
Speaking at a seminar on 'Trade and Connectivity between Nepal and Bangladesh' organised by the Nepal Council of World Affairs and the Embassy of Bangladesh today, she said Bangladesh and Nepal should accord special importance to expansion of bilateral trade, as there are sufficient opportunities for the same.
She also said trade expansion would become a mere dream in absence of regular connection via land, sea and air, for which necessary work is being carried out at both the government and people's level.
CPN (UML) secretary Pradip Gyawali has said that a new powerful political party will be formed after the unification of the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre).
At an interaction program today, leader Gyawali said the two parties will merge soon adding that the left unity has been approved by the people. He added unity of two parties is not just a concern of UML Chairman KP Oli and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' rather it has become a concern of general public.
The UML Secretary said that contribution and dignity of both the parties will be taken into consideration during party unification bid and qualifications of both the parties' leaders will be managed best possible.
Minister without portfolio Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has called for an investigation into the death of temporary police person Bibek Yedi and stern action against those involved in it.
Issuing a statement today, he demanded that that the government provide just relief and compensation to the bereaved family members and ensure treatment of the injured temporary police personnel. He has also appealed to all concerned to remain alert to ensure that the situation is not further deteriorated taking over the issue.
Nepali Congress leader and former DPM Prakash Man Singh has said the national assembly should be constituted through single transferable voting system (STVS).
Speaking at a programme organized in Dillibazar in the capital today, Leader Singh further said it is not constitutional to hold the ordinance which the government had sent to form the national assembly two months before the recent parliamentary polls. He also said that NC will sit in the opposition by respecting public mandate.

प्रधानमन्त्री निवास बालुवाटारमा प्रधानमन्त्री शेरबहादुर देउवाले डाकेको प्रमुख पाँच दलका शीर्ष नेताको बैठकमा राष्ट्रपति कार्यालयमा रहेको राष्ट्रियसभा गठनसम्बन्धी अध्यादेश र नयाँ सरकार गठनसम्बन्धी विषयमा छलफल भएको थियो ।</p><p>बैठकमा राष्ट्रियसभा निर्वाचनका लागि नेपाली काँग्रेस, राष्ट्रिय जनता पार्टी नेपाल र संघीय समाजवादी फोरम नेपाल एकल संक्रमणीय निर्वाचन प्रणालीको पक्षमा रहेको काँग्रेस वरिष्ठ नेता रामचन्द्र पौडेलले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।</p><p>वरिष्ठ नेता पौडेलले भन्नुभयो, “विवाद कायमै छ, हामीले हाम्रो धारणा राख्यौँ, राष्ट्रपति कार्यालयमा सरकारले पठाएको राष्ट्रियसभा गठनसम्बन्धी अध्यादेश जारी भएपछि मात्र प्रतिनिधिसभाको निर्वाचन पूर्णरुपमा सम्पन्न हुने र नयाँ सरकार गठनको बाटो खुल्छ ।”</p><p>नेकपा एमाले बाहेक अरु पार्टी एकल संक्रमणीय प्रणालीमा सहमत भएको जानकारी गराउँदै उहाँले वर्तमान सरकारले सत्ता हस्तान्तरण गर्ने बाटो खोल्न काँग्रेसले बैठकमा आग्रह गरेको बताउनुभयो ।
नेकपा माओवादी केन्द्र का नेता नारायणकाजी श्रेष्ठले बैठकमा प्रधानमन्त्री शेरबहादुर देउवाले राष्ट्रपति कार्यालयमा पठाएको अध्यादेशमा सहमतिका लागि आग्रह गर्नुभएको र त्यसमा सहमति जुट्न नसकेको जानकारी दिनुभयो ।</p><p>यसबाहेक बैठकमा अध्यादेशमा रहेको निर्वाचन प्रणाली वर्तमान संविधानअनुसार लागू गर्न देखिएका चुनौती र निर्वाचनको जनादेशपछि नयाँ सरकार गठनका बारेमा पनि बृहत्रुपमा छलफल भएको नेता श्रेष्ठले बताउनुभयो ।</p><p>पाँच दलको बैठकअघि प्रमुख सत्तारुढ दल काँग्रेस, राजपा नेपाल र संघीय समाजवादी फोरमको संयुक्त बैठक बसेर तीन दलले एकल संक्रमणीय निर्वाचन प्रणालीमा एकमत जनाएको काँग्रेस नेता विमलेन्द्र निधिले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।</p><p>बैठकमा काँग्रेस सभापति एवम् प्रधानमन्त्री देउवा, एमाले अध्यक्ष केपी शर्मा ओली, माओवादी केन्द्रका अध्यक्ष पुष्पकमल दाहाल, राजपा अध्यक्षमण्डलका अध्यक्ष महन्थ ठाकुर, संघीय समाजवादीका अध्यक्ष उपेन्द्र यादवलगायत उपस्थित हुनुहुन्थ्यो ।
