<p>The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case of corruption at the Special Court today against senior music manager at the Cultural Undertaking, Rastriya Naachghar Sudesh Raj Sharma after he was found to have submitted fake credentials for appointment. <br><br>The certificate Sharma submitted during his entry to the Institute–intermediate level pass from Intermediate Education Council of Bihar, India in 1987 was found to be fake, according to the Commission. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br></p>

<p>&nbsp; The sub-committee under the Legislature-Parliament's Good Governance and Monitoring Committee has submitted its report to the main committee. <br><br>The sub-committee was assigned to study and evaluate the services and other facilities provided to the retired high level officials and former VIPs. &nbsp;<br><br>The report has revealed that a retired high level official was found using different facilities worth four million rupees annually. The report states that the facilities and security management provided to a former Home Minister was found around Rs 3.6 million. It was maximum financial burden on the state.<br>&nbsp;<br>The sub-committee chair Janakraj Joshi briefed about the report in the meeting of the main committee today and suggested the government to develop effective and scientific procedures to provide and monitor the system.&nbsp; <br><br></p>

<p>The first meeting of the parliamentary special hearing committee (PSHC) has formed a three-member taskforce to prepare the procedure for it.<br><br>The 15-member committee was formed yesterday after nine-month debate over the number of the committee members. &nbsp;<br><br>The taskforce comprises Anita Kumari Pariyar, Ganesh Man Gurung and Balkrishna Khand. <br><br>The first meeting of the committee held at the chamber of the Speaker Onsari Gharti today, has decided to urge the Speaker to fix the date for the election of the committee chairperson. &nbsp;<br><br>After the finalization of the committee procedure and the election of the chairperson, the hearing process for the recommended judges and ambassadors will begin.&nbsp;&nbsp; <br><br></p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has demanded the government amend the directive number 11 and 21 in the newly launched Online Media Operation Directive-2073.<br><br>The umbrella organization of the journalists in the country has argued that these two particular directives were against the freedom of press and expression, and the free press ensured by the constitution.<br><br><br></p>

<p>Speaker Onsari Gharti has fixed the date and time for the election of the chairperson of the parliamentary special hearing committee (PSHC). <br><br>The election procedure is fixed at 3:00 pm on June 22.&nbsp; The parliament secretariat has issued a notice for the same today. <br><br>As per the election schedule, the candidates have to register their candidacy backed up by official document to the secretary general of the parliament until 5:00 pm tomorrow.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>The candidacy should be proposed and seconded by different two members. &nbsp;<br><br><br><br><br></p>
