<p>President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, has been decorated with the degree of D Litt by Kathmandu University at a special convocation today.<br>Prime Minister and Chancellor of Kathmandu University, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, conferred the title of D Litt on the Indian President, who is currently on a state visit to Nepal.<br><br>After receiving the degree, President Mukherjee said the honour has inspired him to be more dedicated to the cause of humanitarian service. <br><br>Addressing the KU students as hope and future leaders of the country, he called on them to try to seek their meaningful public life by exploring new research and education.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>Indian president shows willingness to help rebuild Pashupatinath Ghat <br><br>President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, has expressed India's willingness to assist in the reconstruction of the Ghats in the Pashupatinath Temple premises. <br><br>The government of India is happy for getting an opportunity to assist in the implementation of Dharmashala Project in the Pashupatinath, he states in the Visitors' Book.&nbsp;

After first dialing the number, one can get information about Qatar by pressing 1, about Malaysia by pressing 2, about UAE by pressing 3 and Saudi Arabia by pressing 4. </p><p>Information provided through the phone service is related to the language, weather, currency, production, religion, art, culture and ways to save oneself from road accident and diseases. <br><br>The service that began with four countries will gradually be increased in the days to come, said the Board's Executive Director Raghuraj Kafley.<br></p>

<p>Preparations have been over to welcome visiting Indian President Pranab Mukherjee in Janakpurdham, said the visit management committee. <br><br>President Mukherjee is scheduled to reach Janakpurdham tomorrow, the last day of his visit. <br><br>A total of 91 welcome gates have been constructed from Janakpur Airport to Tirahutiya Gachhi with big portraits of President Mukherjee put up at the entrance. <br><br>Rostrum has been constructed at Tirahutiya Gachhi and security tightened, said the visit management committee. <br><br><br></p>

<p>Pokhara is upbeat about the visit of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.<br><br>Indian President Mukherjee, is scheduled to visit Pokhara tomorrow.<br><br>The visit would help prove that Pokhara is the must-see place in Nepal for the dignitaries visiting Nepal.<br><br>Western Region Hotel Association Chairperson Bharatraj Parajuli insists that the visit of Indian President to Pokhara could be leveraged to promote tourism, particularly among the Indians, as the number of Indian tourists visiting here has waned in wake of earthquake.<br><br><br><br></p>

<p>US ambassador to Nepal Alaina B Teplitz called on the Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel today.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>Issues relating to mutual benefits and interests were discussed during the meeting, it is learnt.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>In the meeting, ambassador Teplitz assured of more support to the social, economic and infrastructure development of Nepal in the days ahead. <br><br><br></p>
