<p>Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has assured of rewards to the employees at Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project if the project was accomplished within the next six months. <br><br>During a meeting with the employees at the project site while conducting an onsite inspection and monitoring in Dolakha today, PM Dahal said the project is the model development endeavour of the country, so its timely completion would give a positive message in the development sector. </p><p>He said he is ready to provide any sort of assistance to accomplish the project on time. <br><br>The PM also directed the concerned authorities in the district to expedite the reconstruction and repair of roads damaged by the earthquake. </p><p>Nearly 82 percent of the construction activities under the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project has been completed, said project spokesperson Dr Ganesh Neupane, adding the capacity of the project is 456MW.<br></p>

<p>Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has made it clear that Nepal is committed to the One-China Policy.<br><br>Talking to media persons at the Foreign Ministry today, Minister Dr Mahat said, the news concerning our foreign affairs that came in a print media in the capital city today was baseless, rumoured and ill-intended.</p><p>He urged the media house and journalists not to report on a very sensitive issue like foreign affairs without in-depth study. <br><br>Moreover, he said the high level India visit of NC President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was focused on the country's welfare. <br><br><br><br></p>

<p>Nepali Congress General Secretary, Dr Shashank Koirala, has said his party does not support the policy of allowing naturalized citizens to take up the mantle of country's president. <br><br>At a press conference in Dhangadi today, Dr Koirala referred to the constitutional provisions barring naturalized citizens to become prime minister in India and president in the United States of America.</p><p>He said it will not be in the interest of the country to allow a naturalized citizen to take up the mantle of country's premier. <br><br>Responding to a journalist's query, the NC General Secretary argued that the constitution cannot be implemented without amending it and stressed on need for all the parties to unite for the same.<br></p>

<p>The Supreme Court (SC) has directed the suspended chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki, and three others to be present in person in the court with written response within a week. <br><br>The apex court issued the summons order to them in connection to the charge of obstructing court's earlier summons order. <br><br>The single bench of SC Justice Dr Ananda Mohan Bhattarai made this decision.</p><p>The SC has directed Prabal Thapa, Pramod Karki and Nakul Gautam along with suspended CIAA chief Karki to be present in the court in this connection. <br><br><br></p>

<p>Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the draft of the constitution amendment would be forwarded in the participation of secretaries at the concerned Ministries and the ruling parties' leaders. <br><br>PM Dahal, who reached Khotang in course of inspecting the Mid-Hills Highway, said that the government is working out to go for elections after amending the constitution. &nbsp;<br><br>He ruled out the reportedly released draft of constitution amendment and stated that the news in this connection was unauthentic. PM Dahal further said that the constitution amendment draft process has just begun since Monday evening. &nbsp;<br><br>PM Dahal shared the progress of the incumbent government claiming that the government was concentrating on forging national consensus, making the constitution acceptable to all after amending it, expediting the reconstruction projects and harmonizing bilateral ties with neighbouring country.</p><p>The PM took the opportunity to assure that he will do something meaningful for the people of Khotang during his tenure, directing the authorities concerned to complete the under-construction development projects on time.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br><br></p>
