<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that the attachment of traditional culture, practices and values developed in a particular place has created complexity to shift any settlement to a new place.<br><br>Addressing a programme organised to hand over an integrated settlement constructed by the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation at Giranchaur-8 of Sindhupalchowk district today, President Bhandari said that such historical attachment of the particular place connects the people creating difficulties to shift them to a planned place. <br><br>On the occasion, President Bhandari urged the locals to be self-dependent rather developing dependency on others. <br><br>She opined that the integrated settlement could be developed at any of the quake-hit mountainous districts but lack of infrastructure for the purpose has created difficulties. <br><br>The President stressed on expediting reconstruction works at the quake-hit areas with a high priority. <br><br>Similarly, Minister for Industry, Nabindraraj Joshi said that the integrated settlement is a role model to all, adding that the government could learn more from it. <br><br></p>
