Nepal and Russia celebrating diamond jubilee of diplomatic ties

<p>The diplomatic relations established between Nepal and the Russian Federation has entered the 60th years, the diamond jubilee, from today. &nbsp;<br><br>High government officials of both countries have expressed commitment for further strengthening the existing mutual relations on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.<br><br>Nepal and the Russian Federation established diplomatic relations on 20 July 1956.<br><br>On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, have exchanged messages of congratulations today.<br><br>The relation between the two countries, marked as they are by goodwill, friendship and mutual cooperation, have always remained close and cordial throughout these years, said DPM Thapa.<br></p>
