Discussion on no-confidence motion from July 21

<p>Today's scheduled meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has been postponed until July 21 with the political parties failing to set date to pass the budget. A notice brought today said that the meeting would convene on July 21 at 11 am. <br><br>The next meeting will hold deliberation on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the secretariat said.<br><br>Talking to media persons, Speaker Onsari Gharti, said that a conclusion has been drawn not to forward other business in the Parliament except no-confidence motion on the basis of the trend and practice. <br><b><br>MEANWHILE.</b><br><br>CPN (UML) Chief Whip Bhanubhakta Dhakal said an introduction of a new work schedule in the parliament by sidelining the Finance Bill indicated that conspiracy was being hatched within the House. <br>He even criticized role of the Speaker for making efforts to foil government's agenda in the House. <br><br>In this context, NC leader Ramchandra Poudel commented that he was not for questioning the role of the Speaker when it comes to forwarding the motion of no-confidence. <br><br>Furthermore, leader Poudel clarified that it is not wise to challenge the decisions made by the Speaker at the time when both sides are trying to find a common view point on the issues in the aftermath of registering no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister. <br><br>CPN-MC leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara referenced the provision in the new constitution according to which no other agenda could be forwarded in the Parliament once the vote of no-confidence was registered. <br>Likewise, Sadbhawana Party Vice-Chairman Laxman Lal Karna argued it was our parliamentary custom and practices to underscore the vote of no-confidence. <br><br></p>
