Labour minister seeks increase of facilities for Nepali workers in Korea

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Minister for Labor and Employment Farmullah Mansoor has, during his meeting with Ambassador of South Korea (Republic of Korea) for Nepal, Park Yong- Sik today, called on the South Korean Government to increase perks and facilities for Nepali migrant workers there.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p>
During the meeting that was held at the office of Minister Mansoor, the ambassador was urged to &nbsp;open &nbsp;employment vacancies for Nepal's skilled and technical human resources such as doctors and engineers, increase quota &nbsp;for Nepali workers to be hired under the Employment Permit &nbsp;System, open vacancies for 'care giver' and expand the demand for female workers.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>According to the Minister, during the meeting with the ambassador, he drew the attention of the South Korean Government towards increasing deaths and suicide rates of Nepali migrant workers there.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>In response, the ambassador said he took the issues raised by Nepal seriously and would convey them to the South Korean Government.&nbsp;</p>
