<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857143;">काठमाडौं,असार २ । थाईल्यान्डको बैककमा सम्पन्न १३ औं विश्व मुवाँथाई च्याम्पियनसिपमा नेपालको तर्फबाट सहभागी खेलाडी गुणराज रुचाललाई नेपाल राष्ट्रिय मुवाँथाई संघले मुवाँथाई बर्ष खेलाडी २०७२ बाट बिहिबार सम्मान गरेको छ । नयाँ शक्ति पार्टीका युवा तथा खेलकुद विभाग प्रमुख गंगानारायण श्रेष्ठले रुचाललाई प्रशंसा पत्र प्रदान गरे । यस्तै नेपाल राष्ट्रिय मुवाँथाई संघका अध्यक्ष गणेश कक्षपतीले रुचाललाई संघको तर्फबाट नगद १० हजार प्रदान गरे । रुचाललाई विश्व च्याम्पियनसिपमा ६० केजी तौलमा सहभागी भई विश्वका उत्कृष्ट खेलाडीहरुको सहभागिता रहने खेलमा अर्मानियाका खेलाडीसंग निकैनै रोचक प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्दै ३ राउण्ड खेल खेल्दै राष्ट्रको नाम उच्च राख्न सफल भएको भन्दै सम्मान गरिएको हो ।</span><br></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857143;">काठमाडौं,असार २ । हिमालयन ह्याप्पी चाइल्ड एकेडेमी (एचएचसीए) ‘ए’ र इडेन ब्रिज एकेडेमी तेश्रो साइपाल थ्री बाइ थ्री बास्केटबल प्रतियोगिताको गल्र्सतर्फ बिहीबार क्वाटरफाइनलमा प्रवेश गरेका छन् । उक्त दुई टिमसंगै हेम्स र माया ‘बी’ पनि क्वाटरफाइनलमा पुगे । धुम्बाराहीस्थित आयोजक साइपाल एकेडेमीको कोर्टमा एचएचसीएले नासालाई १५–१३ ले पराजित ग¥यो । एन्जल शेर्पाको ९ अंक सहयोगमा इडेन ब्रिजले मन्जरीलाई १७–७ ले हरायो । त्यस्तै हेम्सले कान्तिपुरको चुनौती १४–१० ले समाप्त पा¥यो । हेम्सको जितमा सम्झना गिरीले ५ अंक योगदान गरिन् । सीसीआरसी विरुद्धको खेलमा माया १४–१३ को साँघुरो अन्तरले विजयी भयो ।</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>प्रतियोगिताको साइपालका प्रिन्सिपल सुमन नगरकोटीले रेफ्री सुनील केसीलाई बल हस्तान्तरण गरी एक कार्यक्रमबीच उद्घाटन गरे । चारदिने नकआउट प्रतियोगितामा विभिन्न ७५ विद्यालयका १ सय २० टिम सहभागी छन् ।</p>

<p>The Office of the Controller of Examination, Sanothimi, Thursday has announced the results of School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams held earlier this year. <br><br>This is the first time in its 82 years of history the Office has published the SLC results on letter grading system.<br><br>A total of 16,454 regular students have passed the exams with 'A+'(from 90 to 100 per cent) grade point while 41,577 students have been passed in 'A' grade (from 70 to 90 per cent). <br><br>Similarly, students securing 70 to 80 percent are ranked as 'B+' grade and their number is 48,611. <br><br>The results are published on different nine grades from 'A+' to 'E'. Under the regular examinations, 11 students have passed with 'E' grade. <br><br>Likewise, in exempted category, four students have obtained "A+', 94 secured 'B+', 2943 are passed in 'B' grade. <p>Former Queen Mother Ratna Rajya Laxmi Shah has been admitted to the Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital today after she reported abdominal problem.<br><br>Eighty eight-year-old Shah has been admitted to Gastroenterology Unit of the Hospital. A medical team led by Dr Madhu Ghimire is attending to her, according to the Norvic Hospital.<br><br>Shah is the consort of former late King Mahendra Shah. <br><br></p>
<p>The President Chure-Tarai Madhes Conservation Development Committee (PCTMCDC) has prepared a 20-year master plan with the goal of augmenting in poverty reduction through the conservation of the natural resources of the Chure belt.<br><br>The master plan was unveiled today amidst a programme organised on the occasion of the Inception Day of the committee today. The programme is organised under the theme of 'Chure's Soil for the Chure, Clean Water for Everyone'.<br>The master plan would come into effect immediately after the Council fo Ministers passes it. The main part of the master plan includes 10 medium term and 20 long term plans on Chure conservation. <br>Addressing the programme, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Agni Prasad Sapkota expressed full support from his ministry in the implementation of the master plan and pointed out the need of coordination among the stakeholders for Chure conservation. <br><br>President of the Legislature-Parliament Environment Conservation Committee Janak Raj Chaudhary stressed on the need of more focus on Chure conservation as the Chure hill range extending from east to west was geographically weaker compared to the other mountain ranges in the country.</p><p>He added that the life of a large section of the country's population is intricably linked with the water, agriculture and biodiversity system of the Chure hence the need for checking the rampant exploitation of the Chure resources. <br><br></p>

<p> A meeting of the Council of Ministers has passed the Constitution Implementation Action Plan to be concluded within the second week of January 2017.<br> <br>The meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar approved the action plan of forming the Language Commission, holding the local election and bringing Act related to the Justice Administration, constituting the federal commission for collecting suggestions on province demarcation within August 16, constituting the High Courts within September 16, bringing legislation related to constitutional bodies and commissions within October 16, forming the federal parliament election constituencies delimitation commission and constituting the constitutional bodies within November 15, and holding the local body election within December 15 this year.<br>The constitutional bodies and commissions would be formed in the meantime, according to the action plan.<br> <br>Similarly, the government will appoint the province chiefs and assign the temporary capitals of the provinces within April 13, 2017 while holding the general election in January 2018.<br><br>The government has also decided to bring laws related to the election of the President and Vice President and the laws concerning harmonization of the employees of the federal, province and local levels within January 13, 2017.<br><br>A decision has also been made to bring legislation on the election to the federal parliament, provincial assembly and members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly within that period. It is stated the election of the members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly will be held within November 2017.<br> <br>Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai said the government would present the action plan in the Legislature-Parliament. <br> <br>Minister Rai, said today's Cabinet meeting has promoted Shailendra Khanal and Jeet Bahadur Pun.<br><br>Similarly, Niranjan Thapa, has been recommended for appointment as Nepal's ambassador to Myanmar and Rishiram Ghimire, to the post of ambassador to the Russian Federation.<br> <br>The Council of Ministers also decided to install the bone-marrow transplant machine at any one of the government hospitals within the coming six months.<br> <br>Likewise, the Cabinet meeting today also fixed the additional charges for acquiring emergency passport from the fast track. Accordingly, one has to pay Rs 15 thousand to get the service within 24 hours from the time the application is submitted, Rs 12 thousand for getting the service within two days of submission of the application and Rs 10 thousand within three days of submission of the application.<br><br>In the case of minors below 10 years old, the passport charge has been waived off by half, Minister Rai said.<br><br></p>
<p> The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has briefed the CPN (UML) parliamentarians about its work progress on various realms, including the post-quake reconstruction drive.<br><br>In today's parliamentary party meeting held at the Legislature-Parliament building, NRA Executive Director Sushil Gyawali shed light on the same.</p><p>The parliamentarians from both, ruling and the opposition parties, had expressed their discontent towards the work progress of the high-powered Authority yesterday in the parliament. <br><br>Emerging from the today's meeting, parliamentarian Gangalal Tuladhar said that the Authority had already carried out several tasks on the contrary to the disbelief of the ruling and the opposition parties' lawmakers.<br><br><br></p>

<p> The responsibility of constructing the collective shelters for the earthquake survivors has been given to the Nepalese Army in Gorkha district.<br> <br>Accordingly, the army has already started the construction works at Keraunja, Swanra, Kharibot, Muchchok and Thumi VDCs in the district.</p><p>It will soon start constructing the collective shelters in Ghyachchok, Barpak, Laprak, Gumda and Saurpani VDCs also.<br><br><br></p>
<p>Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) to disseminate the teachings of Lord Buddha in such a manner that it is delivered at the doorstep of each and every public.</p><p>Addressing the 7th University Senate of the LBU in Kathmandu today, PM Oli, spoke of the need for the University to introduce the scholarly programmes that prompt the mobilization of the useful teachings of Lord Buddha.<br><br>PM Oli, who is also the Chancellor of the LBU, underscored the production of competent and quality human resources from the University.<br><br>Meanwhile, in a meeting held at the PM's official residence at Baluwatar today itself, Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokharel pledged that the government will provide its support to the University for the Development of its physical infrastructure.<br><br><br></p>
