NC wins Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts in Waling Municipality

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Dilip Pratap Khand of the Nepali Congress has been elected to the post of Mayor of Waling Municipality in Syangja district.</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>Khand received 10,600 votes while his nearest rival, Punya Prasad Aryal of CPN (UML) got 8,749 votes.</p><p><br></p><p>Similarly, Kalpana Tiwari of the NC got victorious to the post of Deputy Mayor with 9,895 votes. Her closest rival Khagisara Thapa of the CPN (UML) got 9,357 votes.</p><p><br></p><p>Out of 14 wards of Waling Municipality, the NC has got victorious in seven wards along with Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts as well as CPN (UML) won the election I seven wards.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Of 31,312 voters, 22,434 votes were cast in the election.&nbsp;</p>
