<p>Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat today said the Nepali Congress (NC) had taken a leading role in implementing the constitution as 'NC had tirelessly fought to promulgate the constitutional document'.</p><p>Speaking at a programme organised by the Nuwakot-based village working committee of Nepal Tarun Dal, the NC's youth wing, Minister Mahat said works are underway to amend the constitution to address the demands of some disgruntled parties.</p><p>He further said the government and the NC are holding consultations with the main opposition and other political parties.</p><p>In a different context, Minister Mahat said Indian President Pranab Mukherjee's official visit to Nepal is successful and that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Nepal soon.<br><br><br><br></p>
