Indian obstructs Nepal road construction

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The Indian side has constructed the construction of Gaddachauki-Brahmadev road linking the northern belt of Kanchanpur. </span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Indian Boarder Security Force has disrupted the blacktopping of the road nearby Nepal-India border pillar on the issue of hum pipe.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">
The dispute ensued when the armed Boarder Security Force put pressure on removing the hum pipe that was placed to give water outlet from the road. Indian Boarder Security Force claimed that the territory where the road is being constructed is in India. 
</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Chief District Officer Kumar Bahadur Khadka said that they were aware of the halt of the construction works after the SSB obstruction.</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">"The construction will continue after holding joint meeting with the Indian side".</span></p><p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">
Last year, a Nepali national was shot dead by Indian Border Security in Punarbas municipality of Kanchanpur over a dispute on a culvert.&nbsp;</span></p>
