Cabinet scrapped Budhi Gandaki Hydropower project with Chinese Company

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The government has scrapped the Budhi Gandaki Hydropower construction project deal signed with Chinese Company Gejuwa .</span><br></p><p>The cabinet meeting &nbsp;held today has decided to this effect.</p><p>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Kamal Thapa has informed that the decision comes as per the direction of parliamentary committee.</p><p>Former Prime Minister and CPN &nbsp;Maoist Chairman Puhspa Kamal Dahal led-government had handed the 200 megawatt capacity project to the Chinese Company.</p><p>Earlier the public account Committee and Agro and hydro company had &nbsp;directed the government to scrap the deal.</p>
