Maoist Centre forms jumbo committee for General Convention

<p>CPN Maoist Centre has formed the largest General Convention Organizing Committee till date. <br><br>The Politburo meeting held at the party's central office at Parisdanda today formed a jumbo committee of 1,099 members. The meeting nominated 999 members while the remaining 100 will be added to the list in the coming days, Maoist Centre said. <br><br>The party has reserved the seats for 100 members with plan to fill it after a merger with Netra Bikran Chand led CPN Maoist and from a huge portion of the Naya Shakti Campaign. <br><br>The meeting has also formed 85-member Standing Committee and 255-member Politburo, said Spokesperson, Pampha Bhusal. <br><br><b>CENTRE CHAIRMAN PRACHANDA</b><br><br>CPN Maoist centre Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has said revolution is not possible only from revolutionary communists but it needs a wide participation of general public.<br>At a cadres training program in Kathmandu today, he said this decade could be a decade of revolution. The chairman further said the unification process is meant for coping with the challenges coming ahead of the nation and for safeguarding the achievements gained so far.<br><br>Chairman Dahal further said the unification among the Maoist parties has instilled hopes to general public, families of the martyrs and disappeared ones and injured fighters. <br><br></p>
