<p>President Bidya Devi Bhandari and the visiting President of India, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, had a meeting at the President's Office, Shital Niwas today.</p><p>In the meeting, President Bhandari and her Indian counterpart held discussions on the centuries-old Nepal-India relations and on various matters of mutual interest and concern, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.<br><br>The Presidents of the two countries discussed on further strengthening the historic, cultural, social and people-to-people relations between Nepal and India in the meeting that took place in a cordial atmosphere. <br><br>Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bharat Raj Poudyal said that the talks between the Presidents duo was focused on mutual interests. <br><br>The President of India congratulated President Bhandari, the Nepali people and the Constituent Assembly on the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal, Poudyal added.<br><br>Similarly, the Indian president also called on vice president Nanda Bd. Pun today.<br><br>Likewise, in course his high level meeting, President Mukherjee held one to one meeting with prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal this evening.<br><br>During the high level meeting taken place in Hyatt Hotel in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Dahal and president Mukharjee held discussions on various matters of mutual interest and concern.<br><br>On the occasion, the Nepali Prime minister apprised the Indian president about the major political achievements that range from the peace process to constitution amendment process in Nepal.<br><br>During the meeting, the Indian president Mukharjee has praised the role played by the Nepal's political parties to take the country to this political juncture.<br><br>They further discussed on further strengthening the historic, cultural, social and people-to-people relations between Nepal and India in the meeting that took place in a cordial atmosphere, according to our correspondent Kiran Aryal.<br><br></p>
