<p>The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has provided grant assistance worth USD 200 million for the Korea-WFP Saemaul Zero Hunger Communities Project (SZHCP) being run in Nepal by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). <br><br>In a statement, WFP Nepal welcomed the assistance, saying that the grant amount will help continue the project aimed at eradicating poverty and food insecurity in far western region in Nepal. <br><br>The project has been launched in two VDCs of Doti district-Ladagada and Pokhari-since 2012 and livelihood status of the total 1,772 families have been improved since, said WFP Nepal office. <br><br>In a new phase, other over 5,000 families in need from additional five villages of Doti district-Manjari, Gaurigaun, Kadamandau, Khirsainanda and Sanagaun-would be included in the project, the statement said.<br><br></p>
