<p> The ministers in the present government representing the main coalition partner, the CPN (Maoist Centre) have resigned en masse. They submitted their resignation to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.<br>Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, handed in the collective resignation to PM Oli.<br><br>DPM Rayamajhi submitted the collective resignation of the ministers representing the Maoist Centre to the PM at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, PM Oli's press coordinator Chetan Adhikari said. <br>A meeting of the Centre's office-bearers and its parliamentary party has urged Prime Minister Oli to resign and pave the way for formation of new government, stating the government has already been reduced to a minority status. <br><br><b>CPN (Maoist Centre) registers no-confidence motion against government</b><br><br>The CPN (Maoist Centre) has registered a no-confidence proposal against the government in the Legislature-Parliament.<br><br>CPN (Maoist Centre) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal proposed the no-confidence motion while the Nepali Congress president and main opposition party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba seconded it. The proposal was registered at the Parliament Building at Naya Baneshwar.<br>Two hundred and fifty-five members of parliament from the NC and the Maoist Centre have signed on the proposal.<br><br>Along with Dahal, NC parliamentary party chief whip Chinkaji Shrestha and the Maoist Centre's parliamentary party chief whip Hitraj Pandey registered the proposal with the Legislature-Parliament Secretary-General, Manohar Prasad Bhattarai.<br><br>NC Chief Whip Shrestha said the present government led by KP Sharma Oli is in a moral crisis and urged the Prime Minister to resign from his post.<br><br>Maoist Centre's Chief Whip Pandey called on Prime Minister Oli to resign so as to pave the way for the formation of a new government. <br><br></p>
