Muluki Ain (Civil Code) Bill passed

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">A meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has passed the Muluki Ain (Civil Code) Bill, 2074 BS.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Yagya Bahadur Thapa had presented a proposal before the parliament today seeking passage of the bill.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The bill includes provision on division of property.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Similarly, the meeting passed the Country Civil Procedure (Code) Bill, 2074. Speaker Onsari Gharti announced that the bill has been passed by a majority despite Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party lawmaker Prem Suwal's objection citing lack of a quorum when the bill was put to a vote.&nbsp;</p>
