Development Committee against association of local levels

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The Legislature-Parliament Development Committee has decided to recommend not to form an association of the local level governments.</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>The decision was taken by a majority after a voting took place on the matter following deliberations on the report of the Sub-committee on the local level governance bill, 2073 B.S. A total of 17 members of the committee voted against it while nine are in favour of it.</p><p><br></p><p>The committee shall now present its report to the next meeting of the Legislature-Parliament.</p>
