<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Visiting Sri Lankan State Minister for Foreign Affairs Vasantha Senanayake paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara today.</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar, the two discussed on wide range of matters of mutual interest.</p><p><br></p><p>On the occasion, DPM Mahara termed Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha, as a bridge between Nepal and Sri Lanka and said that the cultural ties between these two countries are strong enough due to the Buddhism. </p><p><br></p><p>Similarly, the Sri Lankan State Minister Senanayake underlined the need to take initiative to enhance connectivity between the two countries laying greater focus on Lumbini.</p>
