VP Pun has reached Yunnan of Shaanxi Province

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun who is presently on China visit has reached Yunnan of Shaanxi Province.</span><br></p><p>Prior to this, the Vice President addressed two official programmes organised at Lanzhou of Gansu province.&nbsp;</p><p>He arrived Yunnan from Gansu Saturday itself, the Secretariat of Vice President stated. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>He visited the Chinese People's Revolution Memorial Museum and the site where the Office of Communist Party of China was located during the people's revolution in China.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The museum has the collection of materials used by Mao Tse-tung during the Chinese revolution and those giving the picture of the Chinese revolution.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Yunnan is the base from where Mao Tse-tung had launched the people's revolution.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The then &nbsp;Communist Party Office, residences of top leaders, the place where Mao Tse-tung used to read newspapers have been kept protected &nbsp;here. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Standing committee member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Shaanxi province and Yunnan city secretary Xu Shinrong paid a courtesy call on Vice President Pun on Saturday evening, the Vice President's Secretariat has stated.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>In the meeting, Vice President Pun stressed on the need of strengthening the Nepal-China ties and cooperation.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The CPC Yunnan city chief Shinrong said that although Mao was born in Hunan, the Maoist thought started from Yannan.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>He added that they were ready to collaborate with Nepal in every sector.</p><p><br></p><p>Vice President Pun is scheduled to visit the Yunnan Pagoda Hill and Xian today.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>He will return home Monday afternoon wrapping up his China visit.</p>
