<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">As the vote count is about to come to an end, Nepali Congress mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates continue to take lead in Biratnagar Sub-metropolitan City. The vote count is expected to end by midnight today.</span><br></p><p>Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Bhim Parajuli is ahead of his nearest rival CPN-UML's Binod Dhakal. Prajuli has garnered 18,305 votes against Dhakal's 13,364 votes.</p><p>Likewise, Nepali Congress deputy mayoral candidate Indira Karki is also taking the lead with 16, 670 votes against 8,570 votes of her closest rival.</p><p>Similarly, Bimal Acharya of Nepali Congress has been elected the Mayor of Mechinagar Municipality of Jhapa. Acharya defeated his closest rival Bishnu Prasai of CPN-UML with 20, 776 votes. </p><p>Mina Upreti of the CPN-UML has bee elected the deputy mayor of Mechinagar Municipality with 19,994 votes.</p><p>Likewise, Nripa Bada of Nepali Congress has been elected the mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City with 14,324 votes, and Shushila Mishra Bhatta of Nepali Congress has been eclected the deputy mayor of the Sub-metropolitan City with 17,408 votes in Dhangadi. </p><p>Meanwhile, Bimal Acharya of Nepali Congress has been elected the mayor of Mechinagar municipality in Biramode of Jhapa.</p>
