Voter dies while returning home

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Four people are reported to have died while taking part in today's second phase of local election.</span><br></p><p>The deceased are from Ilam, Jhapa, Palpa and Udaypur district.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A voter breathed his last while returning home after casting vote in Ilam district today.&nbsp;</p><p>The deceased has been identified as Chetnath Acharya of Rong Rural Municipality in Ilam. He died while being treated at B&amp;B Hospital at Birtamod in Jhapa district.&nbsp;</p><p>Similarly, 85 years old Narendra Bhandari died in course of casting vote in Damak municipality in Jhapa.</p><p>Purna Chandra Bhattari of 84 years old from Palpa district died while in queue for voting.</p><p>Also, Srilal Chaudary, aged 70 from Udaypur districted breathed his last while returning home after casting vote.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><b>Voting halts at three locations in Kailali, Achham</b></p><p><br></p><p>Voting at Pandu Secondary School polling station in Jayaprithivi Municipality-3 in Kailali has been suspended following a clash between the groups of two different political parties.&nbsp;</p><p>Voting halted due to the tense situation following the clash, said deputy Inspector General of Police Romendra Deuja.&nbsp;</p><p>Likewise, voting stopped at a polling satiation in Baijanath rural municipality in Achham district following a clash between two groups of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.&nbsp;</p><p>Also, voting briefly halted at Nandeshwori Maligadh polling center in Mellekh rural municipality in Achham following a clash broke out between cadres of the UML and CPN (Maoist Center).&nbsp;</p><p>Police had to fire three rounds of teargas shells to contain the tense situation, said the District Police Office.</p>
