Cabinet meeting: Constitution implementation top priority

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The new government is to take constitution implementation and three-tier elections to be held within January 21, 2018 as its top priority.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p>The first meeting of the Council of Ministers held today at the Office of the Prime Minister at Singha Durbar decided to hold second round of local-level election in the scheduled date and to implement the constitution and management of transition as per the constitution. Newly elected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba chaired the meeting.&nbsp;</p><p>Similarly, the government also decided to hold election of province and the centre within January 21, 2018 as mentioned in the constitution, said newly appointed Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.&nbsp;</p><p>The government has also laid emphasis to different tasks including making post-reconstruction works effective, making people's oriented service efficient and smooth, strengthening peace and security and supply management and completing the remaining task of the peace process.&nbsp;</p><p>The meeting also nominated Finance Minister Karki as the Spokesperson of the government until further arrangement.</p><div><br></div>
