Cabinet decision: Second-phase local election on June 23

<p><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="line-height: 1.42857; white-space: pre;"> </span><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The second-phase of local election which was slated for June 14 has been rescheduled for June 23, Friday.</span></p><p><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span></p><p>A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today has decided to postpone the second-phase local election for June 23 with the objective of making the parties which did not participate in the first-phase local elections participate in the second-phase election, Minister for Information and Communications, and government spokesman, Surendra Kumar Karki, said.</p><p><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span></p><p>Similarly, the Cabinet meeting today passed the particulars of the income and expenditure for the fiscal year 2017/18.</p>
