<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Final ditch effort for voter's education is taking place in all 6,642 polling stations across 283 local units in 34 districts of province no 3, 4 and six as the first phase of local level election takes places in three days in these places. </span><br></p><p>The training is organized by the Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) to educate eligible voters for deceasing invalid votes and encouraging the participation of as many as voters in the upcoming election. </p><p>The upcoming election, being held after 19 years in the country, is taking places in two phases one on May 14 and another on June 14. </p><p>There are around 5 million registered voters in these provinces who will be trained on how to properly cast their votes by the voter education volunteers and facilitators for three days.</p><p>The distribution of the voters' identity card is also being undertaken in these provinces. </p><p>There are around 14 million registered voters across the country. </p><p>A total of 36,000 people's representatives will be elected in the both rounds of election while the first phase of election will see election of 13,556 representatives. </p><p>A special time frame where the candidates cannot campaign, known as silent period came into effect from midnight yesterday</p><p>Meanwhile, The Health Ministry has directed chiefs of all district public health offices (DPHO) to remain on stand-by to deal with emergency situation relating to voters' health on May 14 Election Day. </p><p>Director General of the Department of Health Services Dr Rajendra Panta said a circular has been issued to all DPHO chiefs of all 75 districts in this regard </p><p>He said that the department has written to doctors and health workers not to take leave or remain absent on Election Day. They have also been asked to keep necessary medicines, ambulances and other medical equipments ready for the Election Day. </p>
