Constitution amendment proposal tabled

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The Government has tabled the Constitution of Nepal (second amendment), 2073 proposal at the meeting today of the Legislature-Parliament.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>Tabling the amendment bill, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Shanker Nayak said the amendment was introduced in order to facilitate the constitution amendment process and widen the acceptability of the constitution.</p><p>It would also build an atmosphere conducive to elections, he said.&nbsp;</p><p>The meeting today also endorsed unanimously the proposal seeking consideration on the 'Power Regulation Commission Bill, 2073'.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The parliament shall meet again at 1:00 pm tomorrow.</p>
