Bring DIG Silwal before court’

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The Supreme Court has ordered the government to immediately release DIG of Nepal Police Nawaraj Silwal and present him before the court.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>A single bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki issued the order in response to the writ of habeas corpus filed on behalf of DIG Siwal, arguing that he was arrested illegally.</p><p>The order has stated that DIG Silwal be released in presence of the Court registrar and senior advocate Shambhu Thapa, and presented before the court.&nbsp;</p><p>DIG Silwal was reportedly held from his home earlier today and taken to the Nepal Police Headquarters for investigation.</p><p><br></p>
