<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">The government has finally decided to hold the local level election in two phases after the agreement made with the United Madhesi Democratic Forum and the federal alliance.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>The meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Singha Durbar today decided that the Province Nos 3, 4 and 6 will have the local election on the set date of May 14, while Province Nos 1, 2, 5 and 7 will hold it on June 14, said Minister for Information and Communications and Spokesperson of the government, Surendra Kumar Karki.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>As per the decision, Similarly, as per the demand of the UDMF and the alliance, the amendment proposal registered in the Legislature-Parliament will be revised and passed soon. With this, the language related provisions under Article 7 of the constitution will be changed.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The government has decided to pass the revised constitution amendment proposal tabled in the Legislature Parliament through fast track.&nbsp;</p><p>Likewise, the meeting decided to urge the Election Commission to extend the date for candidate's nomination for the May 14 elections by some days as the agitating parties too agreed to come on board the elections.&nbsp;</p>
