<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">President Bidya Devi Bhandari is returning home today concluding her 5 day state visit to India.</span><br></p><p>Yesterday, the President had attended an interaction on women’s empowerment organization in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the State of Odisha, where she pointed out the need for social awakening for women empowerment.. </p><p>Speaking at the interaction, President Bhandari said the efforts for women’s empowerment will not bear fruit without representation of women in every sector of the national mainstream.</p><p>She lauded the role of the state of Odisha in women’s empowerment through control of women and child trafficking, rescuing the women survivors and providing rehabilitation service to them. </p><p>President Bhandari shared that the new constitution in Nepal has adopted a representative governance system based on proportional inclusion, while also making special provisions for the empowerment of the marginalized and backward communities.</p><p>Also guaranteed is positive discrimination for women and special opportunities for social security based on right to equal share in ancestral property. </p>
