PM directs newly appointed IGP Aryal to maintain peace and security

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has directed newly appointed Inspector General of Police Prakash Aryal to steer police department to maintain peace and security.&nbsp;</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>PM Dahal issued this direction during the meeting with Aryal, who today made a visit to the PM at his residence in Baluwatar today.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>PM Dahal also stressed the need for making strong and reliable arrangements for security to hold the local level elections in a free and fair manner, said PM's private Secretariat.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><b>Newly appointed IGP Aryal pledges to maintain peace and security&nbsp;</b></p><p><br></p><p>Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Prakash Aryal said any activities responsible for jeopardizing peace and good governance taking the advantage of transition could not be tolerated.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Delivering his speeches at a programme to welcome and congratulate him on his appointment as an IGP at the Nepal Police headquarters today, he pledged that police department would make every possible effort to stay true to their commitments to fulfill their responsibilities to implement the new constitution and hold local level elections in a free and fair manner.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>He also made commitments to bringing anyone found guilty of illegal activity to justice and execute his responsibilities not being affected by any influence and pressure from any persons in power.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>He also made a symbolic remark, urging those who were his previous competitor in the appointment process to accept the result as natural and work united ahead. &nbsp;</p>
