Power worth Rs 15 billion to be imported

<p><span style="line-height: 1.42857;">Nepal Electricity Authority Chief Executive Officer Kul Man Ghising has aid the authority is moving ahead with a plan to lastingly end the load shedding across the country.</span><br></p><p><br></p><p>At a press conference organized today, he shared that there is no worry of power outage from now on since the pick hour load shedding has been already ended.</p><p><br></p><p>He further informed the four hour load shedding in the industrial zones will also be ended from the onset of the monsoon.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Ghising further said that power worth Rs 15 billion would be imported to liberate the country from load-shedding.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>NEA Chief Executive informed that power worth around Rs 14.9 billion was brought during the last fiscal year.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The power import has been made for time being to avert power crisis in the country and the NEA would be in a position to export power with the completion of the under-construction power projects.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Likewise, the NEA sources said the nationwide electricity leakage and theft prevention campaign has resultantly dropped power leakage by 4 per cent.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p>
