<p>CPN (UML) leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has paid a courtesy call on the Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at Hyatt Regency Hotel in the capital today. <br><br>According to the press release issued by Yadav Chandra Sharma, secretary at the department, issues relating to mutual interests and benefits were discussed in the meeting. <br><br>Leader Nepal opined for strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. <br><br><b>FORMER PREZ YADAV AND INDIAN PREZ MUKHERJEE MEET <br></b><br>A meeting has been held between the former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at Hyatt Regency Hotel in the capital today. <br><br>During the meeting, they held discussions on multidimensional bilateral ties and mutual interest and benefits of the two countries. <br> <br><b>PM DAHAL DESCRIBES MUKHERJEE AS ONE OF SUPREME LEADERS OF ASIA </b><br><br>Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has described President of India, Pranab Mukharjee, as the supreme leader of Asia. <br><br>Addressing a special convocation ceremony organised today by the Kathmandu University (KU) to confer the Honorary D Litt title to the visiting President of India, the Prime Minister praised his role in taking India towards the path of development. <br><br>He said the political persona and ideologies espoused by Mukherjee, who carries a high political image, would be inspirational for us to pursue a meaningful life. <br><br>Nepal and India share cultural, religious and social similarities and the bilateral ties have been further broadened by the state visit by the President of India, the Prime Minister said. <br><br>The Prime Minister expressed his hope that India would continue to get a 'successful statesmanship' during his tenure. <br><br></p>
