Cooperation necessary to meet targets of drinking water and sanitation

<p>Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, Prem Bahadur Singh said Nepal's constitution recognises people's access to safe drinking water as their fundamental right and insisted on cooperation among all to get this right ensured. <br><br>At an interaction programme organised by the Drinking Water and Sanitation Consumers' Federation, the participants demand guarantee of supply of safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to all.</p><p>They stressed on cooperation among the authorities concerned to meet the target of ensuring drinking water and sanitation facilities to hundred per cent population by 2017 AD. <br>&nbsp;<br>Lack of safe drinking water and sanitation is still the main cause of 72 per cent of child and adult diseases in Nepal.<br><br></p>
