Youth dies due to lightning

At least three people were killed when lightning struck them in Dhankuta and Ilam districts.

Chhatra Kumari Rai, 36, and Krishna Rai, 24, have been killed when they were struck with thunderbolt in Dhanlkuta district today.

Similarly, a youth, Sanjib Rai, 23, was killed when he was hit by lightening at Deumai Municipality-2 today. The deceased was sitting on the verandah of his house when the thunderbolt struck, leaving him critically injured. He breathed his last on the way while being rushed to the Ilam Hospital, according to police.
