Oli urges KMC representatives to follow integrated modality

CPN (UML) chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) should begin its works following the integrated development modality. 


While inaugurating the first municipal meeting of the Metropolis in the capital today, chair Oli argued that the Kathmandu Metropolis should develop a master plan following the integrated development modality by incorporating Lalitpur Metropolis and Bhaktapur Municipality as well. 


Former Prime Minister Oli urged the Metropolis representatives to prioritize local cultures and heritages while conducting the developmental projects. 


On the occasion, Metropolis mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya unveiled a 19-point policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year 2017/18 in the first meeting. 


The policy and programme includes economic prosperity, tourism development, establishing sister relations with various cities and clean the city campaign, among others.
