PM pledges special package for far-west's development

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said development and prosperity in the country is not afar if we became able to ensure sufficient infrastructure development such as roadways, electricity and irrigation facilities, preconditions for development. 


While inaugurating a 'workshop on the management of socio-economic development and roadmap preparation of Province no.7 today, the Prime Minister, also the chair of Far-Western Development Council, pledged to increase budget for the development of Province no.7. 


A special programme will be brought, laying focus on the acceleration of infrastructure development in the Province no.7, he said, adding that a special priority would be given to the construction of road infrastructure so as to get better and affordable ways to transport agro produces to the markets. 


The Prime Minister further shared that the government was doing homework to accelerate the greater development projects such as West Seti Hydropower Project and Pancheshwor Multipurpose Project based in the Province 7 that according to him has abundant potentialities for hydropower 

development. 


The two –day event is organised with an objective of formulating a roadmap for the integrated development of province no 7.
