An entire village at Rubivyali rural municipality-5 in Dhading has been displaced by a landslide triggered by continuous rains for the past two days.

As a result, the locals are left with no option other than to take a shelter in nearby forest while houses of some locals have been damaged partially.

Although a team of experts from the Nepal Reconstruction Authority suggested relocating human settlements at 10 different locations including Rubivyali after finding out that the locations are at risk of a landslide as the land has developed cracks due to the earthquake of April 25, 2015, no measures have been taken so far.

The District Disaster Management Committee has also been blamed for not taking initiatives to relocate the settlement beforehand.
