Talk on development in LDCs held

The Government of France has been launching worldwide talks on the agenda of economic development since the past few years with a view to supporting the least developed countries (LDCs) in their development endevours.


The Kathmandu series of the talk 'Thoughts to Action' that is held in world major cities ranging from Tokyo to Los Angeles every year has kicked off in Nepal.


In a panel discussion on 'development in the land-locked countries' jointly organised by the French Embassy, Alliance Francoise, Kathmandu and Nepal Economic Forum, European Union's Ambassador for Nepal Rensje Teerink said Nepal that lies in between India and China has abundant potentialities for economic development.


French Ambassador to Nepal, Mr Yves Carmona said to include Nepal in the discussion of the economic development is the special priority of the French Government and the aim of today's discussion is to support Nepal, the nature gifted country, in its efforts for development and promotion of tourism sector.
