With the second round of local level election round the corner, the election related activities have been intensified in all 35 districts.
The political parties participating in the election have been conducting election gatherings, rallies and door-to-door visits to woo the voters in their favours. The election candidates and the related cadres are making last ditch efforts to persuade the voters with their agenda.Most of the parties have raised the development issues as their major agenda before the voters.
Meanwhile, four candidates filing nominations for the post of ward member under different categories from the Pratappur Rural Municipality-6, Nawalparasi for the June 28 local-level elections have been elected unopposed.
According to District Election Officer Madhav Prasad Dhungana, two have been elected under the open category, one is from the woman member quota while the fourth is from the Dalit woman quota.
The June 28 election is being held in 35 districts across province no 1, 5 and 7 while the first phase of election was already conducted in 34 districts across province no 3, 4 and 6 on May 14.
