Nepal-India border sealed for 48 hours for poll

The border point in Banke district on the Nepal-India border is to be closed for 48 hours in view of the June 28 election. 

The checkpoint will be closed from morning on June 26, 24 hours before the commencement of the election, according to Chief District Officer (CDO) in Banke district, Rabi Lal Panth. 

The meeting of the border security personnel of the both countries recently took the decision to this effect, shared CDO Panth, ensuring of effective internal security mechanism in the district for the voters to cast their ballot without any fear.
