The bill relating to the first amendment of the Act on political Parties has been passed with majority by the Legislature-Parliament meeting today.
Home Minister Janardan Sharma presented a proposal seeking the passage of amendment bill in the third meeting of the Parliament.
Responding to the queries, Minister Sharma said all preparations were made for the second round of the local election. So, all political parties' participation in it is imperative, he added.
In the meeting, Speaker Onsari Gharti read out a letter about the certification of the bill received from the President's Office.
The parliament meeting is to meet next on July 2.
