UML Mayor candidate elected in Dhulikhel Municipality Kavre

Ashok Byanju of the CPN (UML) has been elected as the Mayor of Dhulikhel Municipality in Kavre district. Byanju received 7,981 votes while his nearest rival Ramesh Prasad Humagain of Nepali Congress bagged 5,408 votes. 

Similarly, Bimala Kumari Chaulgain of the CPN UML has been elected the Deputy-mayor of Dhulikhel Municipality with 6,823 votes while her closest contender Nirmala Kumari Chaulgain received 4,940 votes.

Meanwhile, CPN (UML) candidates have been elected as the mayor and deputy mayor in Suryabinayak Municipality. 

UML's Basudev Thapa has been elected as the mayor with 12,886 votes while CPN UML's Janu Basnet has been elected the deputy mayor with 12,832 votes. 

Thapa's closest contender from Nepali Congress, Bishnu Raj Karki, garnered 10,165 votes while Basnet's rival, Kalpana Rajthala of Congress received 8,902 votes.
