Withdraw decision to liberate guilty of Tikapur carnage

CPN-UML has demanded the government to roll back its decision to liberate the guilty of Tikapur carnage where in eight security personnel and a minor were brutally killed.

Issuing a press release, UML Secretary Pradeep Gyawali demanded the withdrawal of the decision that was taken on political camouflage.

Claiming that the government recent decision would help institutionalize impunity as it is against the rule of law and universal human rights values, the UML stated that such decision would promote criminal tendency in society.

Some nine people had lost their lives in the violent incident that took place in Tikapur of Kailali district on 24 August 2015.
