NC wins Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts in Waling Municipality

Dilip Pratap Khand of the Nepali Congress has been elected to the post of Mayor of Waling Municipality in Syangja district.

Khand received 10,600 votes while his nearest rival, Punya Prasad Aryal of CPN (UML) got 8,749 votes.

Similarly, Kalpana Tiwari of the NC got victorious to the post of Deputy Mayor with 9,895 votes. Her closest rival Khagisara Thapa of the CPN (UML) got 9,357 votes.

Out of 14 wards of Waling Municipality, the NC has got victorious in seven wards along with Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts as well as CPN (UML) won the election I seven wards. 

Of 31,312 voters, 22,434 votes were cast in the election.
