Shutdown partially affects life, 295 banda enforcers arrested

The nation-wide closure enforced by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN (Maoist) partially has partially affected life in the Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country today.

Fewer public vehicles plied on the road, giving the commuters a hard time while all the schools and factories remained shut.

Nepal Police has said over 295 banda enforcers were arrested from across the country.

The cases of arsons were reported from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, Dharan, Thakre-3 of Dhading and Hariwan Municipality in Sarlahi.

Investigation into the arrested was underway and manhunt for those vandalizing the vehicles and absconding the scene continues, shared the police.
